Massage Therapy & Bodywork
Erik Cumming
Founder of GRIP
I am an east coast transplant from Topsfield Massachusetts. Boulder became my home as of September 2008 and will remain so indefinitely. My heart lies in Massage Therapy. When I am not giving massage I can be found climbing in Eldorado Canyon or in any of the 100s of climbing crags in Colorado, eating up the Colorado single track on my mountain bike, running up Longs Peak or any 14er that I feel like driving to. In the winter I am either ripping up the backcountry at RMNP or at one of Colorado’s many fine ski resorts.
I consider the outdoors to be my home, my religion and my escape from the world of chaos, cars, stress, and money. I have worked in a variety of settings, I was bicycle mechanic for 6 years, worked at a ski and tennis shop, I did shipping and receiving at a car specialist company, and most recently climbing instructor and guide at Metro Rock indoor climbing gym in Massachusetts. I have met many incredible people, learned many great skills, but I have finally found what I was put here on the planet to do. Massage Therapy has allowed me to connect with myself in mind, body, and spirit and in turn allowed my clients to do the same. So here I am, after a grueling year at the boulder college of massage therapy I am finally doing what I love and truly loving and living life to the fullest.
